Nia classes are currently a part of the Town of Georgina’s recreational programs.

Classes run weekly in various community spaces across Georgina, making it easy to find a time and place that works for you.

FAQs

Why do I need to bring?

Just yourself, a water bottle and a yoga mat! Nia is done barefoot, so no special footwear is needed. Wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely and feel good.

If you have trouble getting down to the floor, no worry, we can adapt all exercises to standing or seated movement!

What if I have old injuries or am recovering from an injury?

Nia is adaptable and designed to meet you where you are. Movements can be modified, and you're always encouraged to listen to your body and move in a way that feels supportive. Many participants find it helps with joint pain, stiffness, and recovery.

Do I need to register?

Nope — all Nia classes offered through the Town of Georgina are drop-in friendly! Just show up at the class time and location that works for you.
